nice, but there are some little mistakes that can be taken care of, you want me to revamp it for you to show everyone else how sprites should look? :3

@Blitz: ...no. I take that as an insult by the way.

Just tell what these "mistakes" are.

BlazeTheHedgehog, June 16th, 2010, 3:54 pm ( Reply )

I say you use the flat ones. The puffy ones makes me think of the 50s or some other decade long ago. Don't ask why.

Blitzn'Burst, June 16th, 2010, 3:54 pm ( Reply )

you take that as an insult? i am sorry if you are insulted. i know you are capable of doing it yourself, i just wanted to show you. let me list them then: 1)clothing looks at its best when it has 5 different shades 2)if you are going to have some black on the fringe you should have some on some other parts as well and finally 3)this is just an idea, but you should make your own eyes and/or shoes to make it your own

fancy! but you should change the green eyes, maybe make them a blue-green? oh. and go with the left shirt.

mdg245, June 16th, 2010, 3:58 pm ( Reply )

@Blaze: Kay.

@Blitz: I'm offended easily, sorry.

1) I don't do the 5 shades thing. I prefer 3, maybe four to show contrast.
2) I'll change that.
3) I've thought about that for the eyes. Maybe I'll try that later. And I tried on the shoes, but I'm not quite that confident yet.

Thanks for the advice.

@meta: No. Her eyes are green.

Blitzn'Burst, June 16th, 2010, 3:59 pm ( Reply )

your welcome, but would you mind if i used your sprite to represent the difference between using 3 shades and 5?

mdg245, June 16th, 2010, 4:00 pm ( Reply )

@Blitz: *sigh* Fine.

metaboo, June 16th, 2010, 4:00 pm ( Reply )

k, just saying the green looks realy close to the fur color. Good sprites though.

mdg245, June 16th, 2010, 4:01 pm ( Reply )

@meta: They were a lot closer before. But her eyes are staying green.

A bit of an advice here on hair

when you make hair on a sonic sprite try to have at the minimum of four shades of a colour.
It makes the hair apper more smooth then with three shades of one colour and you will be more satisfied with the sprite.

On the clothing i say go for the puffy one

KK Awesomesauce, June 16th, 2010, 4:11 pm ( Reply )

Nobody needs to use no effin 5 shades, Blitz.
4 is what you need.
and 6 or 7 on baggy pants.
And Duh she took it as an insult.
"How sprites SHOULD look"

Bruce the Hedgehound, June 16th, 2010, 4:15 pm ( Reply )

go for the flat sleves cuz puffy looks kinda tacky.

mdg245, June 16th, 2010, 4:16 pm ( Reply )

Hey guys...I'm not into millions of shades like everyone else on here...There's honestly so little room in a sprite, why fill it with more shades? It runs the risk of looking pillow shaded...

But hey, I'll try it just this once. I'll be posting later.

KK Awesomesauce, June 16th, 2010, 4:27 pm ( Reply )

Thats why you only use three on the inside and one for the outline.
4 shades.

drew6464, June 16th, 2010, 4:36 pm ( Reply )

Well, 2-3 shades is good for recolors and 4-5 shades is good for the bigger, more edited sprites. You also need an extra shade to outline your sprite sometimes instead of black.

parrish_broadnax, June 16th, 2010, 4:37 pm ( Reply )

i likes it.

KK Awesomesauce, June 16th, 2010, 4:40 pm ( Reply )

Black should never be your outline color.
Unless the inside color is dark dark grey.

Marcus The Hedgehog, June 16th, 2010, 4:44 pm ( Reply )

I like the old look better.
